Male portrait photos for fashion modeling at KL

The following photos are the portrait photos of the David, the male model who was involved in my first fashion modeling shooting session. Sorry to Razriff as I didn't have chance to shoot your portrait photos.Perhaps in future? ;)

David was quite tall, around 175-180cm if not mistaken. He had previously model once before this and he knows how to pose in most of the shots.

My first model-shooting session at KL

Few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to be the photographer in a photo shooting with models at around KL. It is a freelance job, which in the context of this assignment , it means doing it for free. =)

Anyway, it was actually my first time shooting with models! There are lots of things to learn from posing the models, to handling my trusty DSLR. I shall share about my experiences which I gained in future.

The theme of this photo assignment is about fashion modeling in the KL's hot spots area. KLCC and Pavillion were chosen as the shooting locations. This photo shooting was organized by Karen, and with four models who were kind to volunteer themselves for this assignment, I started shooting at KLCC with another photog (Melissa).

The four models involved in this photo shooting are:

Photo of the female model, Samatha Mabel.

Photo of the female model, Zati.

Photo of the male model, David Su.

Photo of the male model, Razriff.

Except for David who did a photo shooting before, I have to admit that these models are modeling for the first time. Unfortunately, these model didn't have any make up as the MUA (make up artist) didn't show up.

We started off shooting photo in front of KLCC.

Photo of Zati and Mabel near the KLCC's main entrance.

More photos of Razriff and Zati.

We continued with our photo shooting session at Bukit Bintang.

The photo shoot ended before 3pm. Everyone was exhausted but most importantly, we had fun !

My first photo shooting with Rayna- a pretty cute baby (8 days old)

Last week, my colleagues and I went to visit Azalea's 8 days' old baby. This is my first time capturing photos of a newborn baby. The baby looks fragile and small to me :p.

Anyway, Azalea's baby has a special and meaningful name. Her baby name is Rayna Tasnim.

In Arabic/Muslim dictionary, Rayna means pure and clean. I found out it also means "queen" in Latin, Rusian, Spanish or even French language. Azalea has a princess baby!

Her baby following name, Tasnim also comes from Arabic origin, Tasneem. Tasneem is a fountain in Jannahh (Paradise) whose drink is superior to the purest of wines. Its nectar will only be drunk by those nearest to Allah Ta'ala. Literally means "rich and elevated".

Let me introduce you guys to Azalea's pretty cute princess baby, Rayna Tasnim...

Baby photo of Rayna, 8 days' old.

She slept soundly even when we were laughing and making noises chatting with Azalea.

Photo of the proud and happy mom, Azalea with her 8 days' old newborn.

Pretty Azalea always looks cheerful and smilling all the time.

Baby Rayna loves the gentle touch/stroke on her head.
Baby Rayna: Oooo... I'm lovin it... (wink)

Baby Rayna: Ewwww..... saliva !!!

In photo, Azalea, an experienced mom who handled her baby gently with care.

Photo of Baby Rayna sleeping peacefully on her mommy arm.

The sweet Baby Rayna woke up awhile without even crying. It is feeding time for Baby Rayna. After feeding, she grazed beautifully at her pretty mummy.

... and then she checked around by looking and observing the aliens strangers before falling asleep again.

You can feel the inner peace in her. Baby Rayna will grow up becoming a very calm woman!

Another photo of baby Rayna resting on her mummy's arm.

Baby Rayna: Don't disturb me... I'm in "boxing mode"...

Finally, 2 engineers (thlun & Simon) and 1 PHD candidate (Cheryl) completed assembling Baby Rayna's new toy and placed it near her bed.

Photo of Baby Rayna with her new toy. Cheryl made a joke that the mirror which comes with the toy will teach Baby Rayna to be vain since young. >:)

Photo shows brotherly love showered by Baby Rayna's brother, Ameer. He kisses his little sister many times before going to school everyday.

Shortly after having a cup of tea prepared by her mother in-laws, we left the place while Baby Rayna continue with her sleeping beauty pose.

Congratulation to you (Azalea) and your family for having such a sweet and lovely Baby Rayna.

She is one of the God's greatest gift.

May your newborn bring you and your family lots of joy for a long, happy and healthy life together. ^^

Photos on farewell lunch for Teck Lam

I joined my colleagues last week to have a farewell lunch for one of the interns, Teck Lam from UTM. He is leaving the company after being bullied having his industrial training for around three to four months.

Teck Lam's farewell lunch with his colleagues (ex-colleagues now).

The lunch was held at Secret Recipe, KL Sentral. Apart from the poorly air-conditioned place, it is a nice environment with plenty of natural lights and spaces. Besides that, it is nice to shoot portrait photos. ^^

Secret Recipe at KL Sentral.

We camwhore posed around while waiting for the food to arrive.

Photo of pretty Cheryl with the pose, "call me, and vote for me...."

Cute photo of KK with peace sign while C-Onn admiring looking on at the back.

Photo of Cheryl with the new intern, Zatil.

More portrait photos of Zatil.

A cool pose of my photog buddy, thlun who is passionate about photography as well.

C-Onn was happy as his favourite brand (Starbucks) is just a stone away.

The farewell guy (TeckLam) must be dreaming of his delicious food that will be served soon.

Another intern, Kelvin who is still surviving having his training.
(The 2 photos on the right was shot by thlun).

Photo of Simon and Cheryl who had fun posing with the Secret Recipe's menus.

Simon (or should be Mrs. Petterson) with his new, two-tone color hair, happily sharing a prawn macaroni with extra cheese.

Cheryl (or should be Jason) misses home and got to "taste" the yummy Sarawak laksa noodle.

After lunch, we stayed on to digest the food and gossip chat for awhile.

Laughters are the best medicine in this world. No stress and no worries.

While others was chatting, Simon was busy playing/browsing with his iphone.

... and I continued "playing" with my baby (SLR) and snapped some candid shots.

There was a particular moment, C-Onn looked like in deep-thinking mode.

Perhaps, the share market has re-opened after lunch and prices went up to his delight.

Last but not least, we had a group photo with the farewell guy for remembrance.

It is really a pleasure to know you (Teck Lam). All the best to you in your future endevours and do keep in touch.
